Just think, if every person registered in Bude, Stratton, Kilkhampton and Morwenstow spent just £5 per week locally there would be around £2.5m going into the local economy each year!

Our recent survey made it very clear that our community is keen to buy locally made products and values a flourishing town centre. There are so many good reasons to shop locally –

  • Keep money in our local economy
  • Provide local jobs
  • Maintain and grow local expertise
  • Build and strengthen our community
  • Reducing the carbon emissions needed to transport the goods to us

For all these reasons Transition Bude is keen to stage an event showcasing the wealth of local goods and services we have in Bude, Cornwall and the South West. We are asking local retailers and makers for their ideas.

Are you a local maker or grower looking for more ways to engage with your market? We would like you to be part of shaping an event that will benefit you, your customers and the planet! Please fill in the short form  below or get in touch to find out more.

Would you like to help with organising the event? We’re going to need lots of people to help the retailers take part in the event and to help the public to identify our local goods. If you’re interested in helping out then please email transition.bude@gmail.com
